Hello everyone!

My name is Sherwin and I am 100% Chinese but very much Filipino at heart. Traveling is my one and only passion and someday, I'll be able to travel the world one country at a time. I also enjoy photography and writing even though I am not a maven in any of those. Allow me to share my world to you.

Thanks for dropping by! ^__^

Pedring/Quiel

As the world might be aware, Philippines has once again been struck by another natural calamity. A storm surge named “Pedring”, that made landfall last Tuesday, unleashed its forceful winds that caused massive floods and extreme damages in the northern part of our mildly affected urban Manila metropolis. The death toll has increase tremendously to 50 and might still increase since it has been reported that around 30 more people are still confirmed to be missing. Another typhoon named “Quiel”, which has already entered Isabella around 3 to 4 hours ago, is again threatening the Filipino community as we brace for another adverse weather condition.

In line with this, The Armed Forces of the Philippines is making an appeal to the public for any rubber boats they can borrow. For any leads or intentions, please Tweet them @TeamAFP.

You could also assist in the efforts done by De La Salle University in partnership with the DLSU University Student Government as they lend a helping hand to the Gawad Kalinga Baseco Community that got submerged in flood water.

I’m sure that your local government offices are also doing their own relief initiatives to aid those who were affected so please do get in touch with them.

Despite the depletion of morals due to the devastation, I am hopeful that we could collectively rise from this situation as we have all seen the capabilities of the Filipinos during previous distress such as Ondoy. I have strong faith that this time will be no different.
