Hello everyone!

My name is Sherwin and I am 100% Chinese but very much Filipino at heart. Traveling is my one and only passion and someday, I'll be able to travel the world one country at a time. I also enjoy photography and writing even though I am not a maven in any of those. Allow me to share my world to you.

Thanks for dropping by! ^__^

SG Invasion

The place where I left the unhealthy side of me. This trip really severed the tie with my unusual, usually negative, angle of myself. Everything just happened at the right time. For that, I am thankful.

I really felt a complete 360 revamp the moment I left Singapore. Its as if I’m still in a state of euphoria that I can’t detached myself from. Maybe it was just too amazing to explore Singapore with people who matters to you. On top of that, it was also my first time to travel without a member from our family so the feeling of independency was just brewing intensively. Though I did take quite a beating in my wallet but it was good to know that you are spending your hard worksgain to memories that are worth stamping in history.

Two of my travel buddies. We are the photographers among the bunch. I just love spending time with them folks.

One of my confidants during our trip. The lovely student government president whom I just love taking photos of.

The early birds of the trip. Waiting for the train to dock at our station.

Can you tell how relaxed I felt?

Snapshots of the unique architecturally designed Singapore Management University that made us all want to be students again.

We also went to the National Museum of Singapore where I was so astonished as to how they make their museum very informative and interactive without you getting a hint of slumber. We also took advantage of the scenery and the environment (more like exploited) to make photographic memories and practice our inadequate modeling skills.

We also visited the most common town present in almost all countries, Chinatown. I also took the opportunity to hone my teaching skills by teaching some of my friends how to use the incense when we entered one of the huge temples. By the way, Chinatown is also a good place to find great bargains.

After dinner, we went back to our apartment to freshen ourselves up for the most unexpected night of our lives that all happened at Clark Quay. Though what happened in Clark Quay, stays in Clark Quay. So no pictures for that one :)

After the long first day, we woke up early to head straight to Sentosa where we rode the Luge and the Skylift. The place has definitely advanced substantially. Definitely a must see place when vising Singapore.

And so being the traveling fanatic that we are, we have to go to where the buzz is happening. In the heart of the urban metropolis lies the trademark of Singapore — the Merlion statue that oversees the magnificent Marina Bay Sands Hotel. Such an amazing piece of art that structure is. I would love to experience that infinity pool that lies on top of the hotel. The Helix Bridge that connected the bay to the island was also such a structure to admire.

Since we still had a hangover with what happened that Friday night, we tried to repeat it, trying to believe that that was just a teaser to the best night ever. BUT some things are meant to happen only once so let’s just leave it at that.

Sleeping for a total of around 3-4 hours, we had to wake up early again to prepare ourselves for Universal Studios, the place where all the fatigue just vanished or receded completely.

This place will forever be encrypted in my head as this is where I have fully conquered my fear of roller coasters. I rode two thrill-seeker ride for five times which I used to believe my body can’t handle. I have always registered in my thought processes that roller coasters is a no-no for me but I guess your mind reacts differently with great influencers. Maybe I was just always inclined to try it out but fear almost always overcomes me but with what happened that day, it goes to show that friendship is just too strong of a bullet to break any barrier of fear.

Basically, what I’ve written here are just a narrative of what happened in Singapore but this will never sum up to how we felt in those 3 days. Those moments are the things I’m talking about where you just can’t put them into words. Thank you, Singapore. Thank you, EXECOM. I love you all.
