(I’ve been studying in the past few hours so I opted myself to take a little break to update my ever-so-reliable stress reliever tumblr)
The heart-stopping, multiple-hit sensation comes back and invades Manila once more. Black Eyed Peas drops off at Manila to have their last concert before they take a big break from the spotlight. The concert was held at the SM Concern Grounds, Mall of Asia.
Since my sister is a fanatic of the songs from BEP, she decided to share her excitement by treating me with a VIP ticket to their come back concert here in Manila and boy was I delighted to know that I can finally get ahold of a VIP ticket, which I never imagine I could obtain due to financial constraints. So when blessings pour under the palm of your hands, hold on to it ever so tightly.
The concert grounds was packed by around 50,000-60,000 fans, all enthusiastically dancing to the upbeat songs of the group. They played some new hits in their new album but the crowd pleasers were the all time favorite songs such as “I Got a Feeling” and “Where is the Love?”.
Since professional cameras are not allowed in these types of concerts, I just brought my dad’s Panasonic Lumix camera which didn’t really managed my expectations but it was enough to cater to my need to have a photo in every event.
The 2 hours worth of wait was excruciatingly painful for my back but like as they say, “no pain, no gain”. I guess the beer we drank was somewhat an antidote to my depleting energy and you know, seeing and listening to BEP live just enables you to get rid of all those strenuous baggage that we’re carrying and just set ourselves loose. Some even more than others.
The concert ended prior to midnight but it was definitely a good night for all of us. BEP really showed us the love all the fans were seeking. Thank you BEP for giving your fans such an amazing evening. I, most of all, really admire the advocacy for education that the group is promoting and I salute all of you for your continuing efforts to battle poverty and the lack of education in the country.
More power you guys!
