A Farewell Friday

Because in the midst of it all, one has to say goodbye sooner or later.

I witnessed today the last day of one of my dear friend in the office. She has been with connected the company for a strong and solid 4 years, and now she has decided that it’s about time to navigate herself to greener pastures. 

As much as we’re excited about her new role, it saddens us that the moment we have shared with her everyday is about to come to an end, and what’s left with us are photos of blissful memories. Though she’ll just be transferring around the corner, adjusting to what has been a norm to our everyday routine makes it rather difficult to pass by.

As tears shed and various emotions amalgamate, memories from the past recur all the same. What I saw in that room a while ago is truly something special — friendship at its finest. 

Dear Nikka,

Thanks for leaving a mark in each one of us. You are a great friend, Nikka, not just to me, but for everyone. You saw what I saw a while ago even if you were crying. Remember, It takes a great person to unleash that kind of genuine emotion from a friend. I hope you realize that.

Again, thank you, Nikka! We’ll surely miss you! Till the next time we see each other.
